Skills in I.T are extremely important in todays world because it is used in many ways. Phones are used not only to make calls but also to send written messages and search the internet. Ipads are used within schools including the Foundation Phase area and some pre-school nurseries. Junior children use software on Ipads in order to create booklets and small presentations. It is therefore important that practitioners develop knowledge and skills in order to use computing technology sufficiently within educational environments.

Visual Communication needs
to be clear to the audience. For this reason the use of Web 2 software gives practitioners an easy and clear way of teaching children, youth or adults. software due to colourful and interesting layouts presented. Children of Key Stage 2 age may see a visual image created using a Tagxedo which would give them an idea about a subject being introduced to them. Outdoor learning and Foundation Phase activities could be introduced using software such as a YouTube slideshows or communication through a Voki character both of which could encourage children to stay attentive during learning sessions.

It could be considered that everyone has philosophical thoughts regarding life which influence the things he or she decides to do daily, monthly and yearly. Technology develops through creative thought, analytical and critical analysis of data and a passion built from a philosophical value held by the individual. An individual’s philosophical such as ‘knowledge builds a kingdom’ or ‘progression comes through exploration/expansion’ may drive individuals to develop skills and ideas.

Creating a YouTube Slideshow

YouTube is a motivating and enjoyable form of communication for individuals.
The slideshows created in YouTube can be saved on a computer to use personally
or embedded on to blogs and social sites such as Facebook in order to
communicate information. It is easy to create a photo slideshow, a person
simply needs to create an account and sign into the YouTube site and then click
on the upload button. The photo slideshow icon is clearly seen and once clicked
on offers the opportunity to upload or drag and drop files into the box. The photographs
need to be put on in the order the individual desires them to be shown within
the slideshow followed by insertion of audible content if desired. The upload
then needs to be completed by pressing on the upload icon.
